I looked but don't see a thread about Iranian music. It bums me out that we're bombing yet another country that we know nothing about. I like to think we Internet people are all friends regardless of our governments. I'm literally having panic attacks that I can't stop my electeds from being assholes, I wish I could commiserate and make friends with everyone else

Not sure about music but i do have a fav recipe. Layali Lubnan (Lebanese Nights dessert). I am wishing them peace too.

Sounds delicious! I like things with the rose or orange water, they're so unique.

I don't have any cool Iranian music or recipes, but I shared some cute Iranian owls recently!

It’s a fantastic dessert. I have also made the topping from just some whipped cream and tinned coconut cream. Never skip the syrup!

There’s Saba Alizadeh (ambient) last month released Rituals of the Last Dawn on the Berlin Karlrecords label

Ata Ebtekar (ambient) - a bit like being present in an earlier Soviet sci-fi . He also publishes under the name Sote for more abstract techno

There was a tar performance by Ali Ghamsari at the Damavand power station to protest attacks on energy infrastructure.

There should be a special level in hell for those that bomb activists playing music in front of civilian infrastructure so it won't get bombed

This is a song from diaspora, it was the soundrack of a movie: Farinaz Be Name Zan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pb9uEiduKaw

You can help stop your elected dickheads. Protest, general strike, a constant barrage of your elected officials with dissent. They were bombing schools in your name.

Iran has been under the longest internet blackout in history (if you don't count North Korea). The things that trickle out from there are scarce and that little bandwidth may be better used to collect evidence of atrocities, ironically committed either by the regime or the US/Israel coalition. The current top 40 may be less important at this point in time. So there is a pretty high chance that you won't get a good answer to your question.

same, sometimes I like to think of ourselves as a global species, but we still have different borders and financial systems and sanctions
