In this case he actually did, although it was it a publicity stunt to promote his no tax on tips shit, which (of course) isn't nearly as good in practice as the name sounds.
But nice to know the media is still using photos that make him look doofy as fuck

They would never allow a doordash worker that close to the president. Ever. Most countries wouldn't do that.
She was fully checked out before she ever got that close. She wasn't even from the area, she was flown in from several states away. The entire thing was tightly engineered.
And it still went off the rails. You can always count on MAGA to be virtuosically incompetent.

yeah no doordasher is going to casually walk up to the whitehouse front door. i seen a doordasher deliver to the whitehouse (some secret service) they coul;dnt take the order inside so he had to give it away. plus shes not door dash lady shes an actor.
If you watch the video of this, Trump keeps emphasizing "Door Dash Granny's" (on her shirt) husband needs cancer treatment. That could be scripted or she could be a real Dasher that got paid some (probably very small) payoff to do this. Either way it's just a photo op where he tries to play up how his Big Bill throws pennies at poor people by not taxing tips (which from what I've heard have often been stolen not just by restaurant managers/owners but even through apps in some cases).

It was added after Trump took office. There were articles about it. Apparently labeling doorways is helpful for dementia patients, and many people took this as a sign of dementia.

As someone who works with dementia patients daily, he very clearly has it both by his actions and those of everyone around him.
I would be shocked if there's anyone left paying attention that genuinely thinks he's sane. But I am often shocked at what people believe.
I watched my Dad decline for years before the doctor would finally diagnose it as dementia. He had already forgotten the names, and even the faces, if everyone he knew before the doctor finally said he had some form of dementia. Duh! Welcome to the party, Doc.
They won't believe he has dementia until he turns to Vance, or Rubio, or Hegseth, and says "Who are you?"

It's not real. A delivery person wouldn't get to the door of the oval office. And almost certainly an aide grabs the bag, though the fast food delivery obsessions is partly about security paranoia, so maybe he is paranoid enough to grab the bag.

For that matter, why did he use doordash at all? What if the delivery driver had a gun? A LOT of people want trump dead. Though I can't say I'd be surprised if I read the headline "Trump assasinated by McDonalds delivery driver. J.D. Vance cluelessly now president."
It was a publicity stunt to promote his tax policy that lets certain people deduct up to $25k on tips. A random doordash driver would not be allowed access; even given how deeply incompetent everybody is over there, there are still SOME security restrictions in place.
The best part is Trump starts going on about "the trans" and asks her if she thinks men should be allowed to compete against women, and she's like "I don't have an opinion on that. I'm just here for the no tax on tips" and you see what looks to me to be the slightest hint of homicidal rage as he stiffly pats her on the back and sort of chuckles an absolute death rattle of a chuckle in disbelief.
Who even starts a conversation like that?
