In december 2025, the author and activist Cory Doctorow @pluralistic@mamot.fr did a speech at the 39C3 called "post-American, enshittification-resistant internet"

He talks about AI, internet enshitification, anti-circumvention law. guilotine few technofascists...but he also talks about alliance and hope ! ✊

Watching For All Mankind makes me sad. It's an alternate timeline where humanity focused on space exploration instead of ad tech. They have the internet but it's a pure utility for communication. There's no surveillance capitalism, no social media, none of this junk.

We've wasted the past 3 decades using science and technology to enrich the American capital class.

I love the breakdown of technology eras through the accellerating science and innovation the continued space race is making.

And three mile island didn't happen. Because moon reactors lead to greater safety research.

It's not us, it's not as we thing. It's a handful of assholes who have lost their humanity, driving us. For instance, back when they were trying to colonise Australia, they needed a heap of bodies over there to do the manual labour side of it, so they made everything illegal and no way to survive without doing illegal things, for a massive subsection of people, bam they had a workforce, sent in chains, to serve their purposes. Now they use propaganda to enlist the people to support their self serving causes, etc. Join movements to divest and boycott the elite, and you will be working towards building the future you want to see.
