I love the relatively new feature that allows you to update radio firmware directly through the app. Because of it, I haven't been checking the Flasher for updates. Now I see that I'm several version behind. My app is still showing 2.7.19 as the latest Alpha. The Flasher has 2.7.24 available.

Is anyone else having a similar issue? Does anyone know of a way to get it to update itself?

My app says latest is 2.7.16 for alpha and 2.7.15 for Beta/stable. ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

I wonder if the app just has hardcoded "latest" values. My app is the latest F-Droid version which was last updated 5 months ago.

I have a feeling you're right on the hard-coded version check based on app version. That tracks with OP's observations.

I haven't gone past stable firmware so I wouldn't know quite yet... But I'll check my Google play Android app when I get home and can grab my device.

That makes sense, given what we're seeing. I hope the app will eventually get smarter about upgrades, but I can't complain too much. It's a new feature and a very welcome one.

Has the app itself been getting updated? Because the only time that it talks about new firmware updates is when the app itself gets updated. And I know for a long time at least the app on Android was not being updated. At least not on fdroid.

I have since moved to mesh core, so I haven't checked to see if the app is more up to date now.

The app has not been updated recently, which must explain this.

I have the Android app installed via google play. It just updated last week. I can see all Alpha firmware up to the most current 2.7.25 for my Thinknode M1 in the app. Your app may just be too many versions behind.

I finally got a new version of the app, but it shows 2.7.24 as the most recent Alpha. I think it must just be hardcoded.

What device are you flashing?

Haven't considered that they might not be pushing every Alpha version for every device.

It's a Heltec T114. I just checked and 2.7.25 is available for the T114, just not from inside the app.

Damn, that definitely supports the hard coded theory. Kinda sucks.

Has anyone else run into problems using the app to perform firmware updates? I had used the previous version of the app to upgrade several units to 2.7.19. I tried using the new one to update to 2.7.24, but it failed over and over.
