What's really fucked up is not only was he only looking for a temporary stay for a confirmed job... He was literally going to be broadcasted on international TV in front of millions, what crimes did they think he would commit while refereeing the god damn world cup? Like "red card on number 24... Allah akbar death to the infidels"??? Or better yet "offsides on number 35... And here's my number if anyone is looking for some quality weed"

The crime is usually better known as "being black in public". More specifically "being a black authority figure".

Also known as "Obama syndrome"

Somali referee, Somali refugee, basically the same thing if you’re functionally illiterate.

Well at least the ref is a class act:

‘I would like to thank FIFA and CAF for all their support and I promise to keep my refereeing levels up as I concentrate on the future,’ he said.

‘I want to thank the football family for their messages and wish my colleagues all the best success during the World Cup and I look forward to joining them again in future competitions.’

Yeah I'm not surprised we made it one day into the world cup before doing something like this.

Would be funny if they would move the game with him to Canada, but FIFA just cut him out and want people to forget it. All about the money...
