Was wondering because, this time around, the football community seems to be diametrically opposite to the Lemmy/Piefed community. I was watching me some football when the booing happened, and the first thing I could think of was "looks like we aren't in ~~Lemmy~~ Kansas anymore". Do people here just not have a strong foothold in the football community? Or are we a minority?

I'm not into any variety of football. I enjoy seeing an odd highlight or good play, but not the whole match. I played for 3 years in school (and american football for one), but I don't really enjoy eatching it. Ice Hockey is probably the thing I most enjoy and even that is mostly only if I go in person.

So. I was never big sports fan. In college I had a roommate who was super into sports and he got me to be a bit of a home team guy. So not big into it but sorta get the appeal with the competition. Like the olympics. Sports have gotten so corpo though. I used to say I prefer to watch little league because its more exciting but these wierd companies are like buying up even kids leagues stuff. So its more an anti corporate thing which has me wanting nothing to do with sports now. Also it felt frendlier before but again in recent decades it feels more and more like nationalism.

I’m into both football and American football. I’m a Chelsea fan and Seahawks for American football.

I get bored watching other people play sports. So I usually don't. I'll watch a bit of the Olympic Winter Games every now and then, but that's about it. (And I've watched some snooker and chess. But I think that's an entirely different experience compared to football.)
