Hey yeah, it's fun, it's anonymous, it's got personality. I would absolutely keep it

I don't think there's any way to change your name yet; the fediverse is still growing in terms of QOL

Thank you that's really nice. The nice poster above told me I could change my display name, so I get to play with all sorts of names!

You can change your display name, but not the username.
Then again, you can always just make a new account and transfer your subscriptions and settings (but not your post/comment history).

Thanks mate so if I change my display name people wouldn't see my username? Cos I see people's full usernames on their comments.

Most users haven't set a display name. Look at mine, though: You should see ℕ𝕖𝕞𝕠 rather than Nemo. The former is my display name (emoji letters) and the latter is my username (plaintext).
