Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Is that guy too short that he needs an elevated pathway?

[–] altphoto@lemmy.today 1 points 5 days ago

Good strategy. I see. Wink 😉.

Are the TRUMP-EPSTEIN FILES (TM) going to be released soon?

*steal. They intend to steal them

whats sad is how everyone will just stand there and let them and continue to act a victim in all of this happening. "if only someone would do something" expecting some foreigner named superman to come save them from it.

Well, what are you doing about it?

[–] NM_Gringo@lemmy.world 19 points 1 week ago (1 children)

This is nothing but a smoke screen for the cheating. If they can cheat their way to victory, they'll point to this. The Republican party has lost all pretext of being a competitive political philosophy. They know they can't win unless they cheat.

Everything they're "worried about" there's always just them calling out the shit they're doing.

Pedophilia, voter fraud, obsessing over if somebody's trans or gay, etc...

It's always projection ಠ_ಠ

Every time I see this stupid fucking nonce I get the creeps.

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I have too, for decades now. The guy exudes am aire of barely human filth. I can't understand how anyone can actually like him.

They must be like him.

As an outside observer, with pretty heavy bias towards dems, I don't see how Republicans could win. Trump is very unpopular in American society

[–] Zombiepirate@lemmy.world 10 points 1 week ago

They're planning to steal the election.

Republicans know that they're unpopular; they win by suppressing the vote in Democratic strongholds, having the White Nationalist representatives pick their voters based on race, disenfranchisement of racial minorities through imprisonment and criminalization, a court system that is clearly biased for Republicans, collecting unlimited dark money from billionaires, and lots more.

[–] infinitevalence@discuss.online 5 points 1 week ago (1 children)

They wont win, they will cheat, steal, coerce, and threaten their way into office. They are so unpopular that mafia/fascist tactics are the only option.

[–] garbage_world@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago

We will see

[–] architect@thelemmy.club 3 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Well they stole the last election but that’s taboo to discuss.

So I’m assuming they’ll just do the same.

[–] garbage_world@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago (1 children)

How was thr 2024 election stolen?

Trump got more votes than Kamala

[–] AngryCommieKender@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Same way they tried to do it in 2016 and 2020. All three presidential elections have a clear "Russian Tail."

[–] garbage_world@lemmy.world 0 points 1 week ago

You didn't respond to my question
