I was really curious about what “bifurcated girls” meant, and the Public Domain Review has the answer:

Vanity Fair special issue from 1903 dedicated to “bifurcated girls”, i.e. women in trousers. Note this isn’t the same Vanity Fair of current fame, but an earlier magazine with the same name

Ohh.... As in girls who wear split pants. I was trying to wrap my head around what the hell they meant by bifurcated girls. Bifurcated girls just sound like the victims of a serial killer or something.
