The meme originates from a basketball game between the WNBA teams Indiana Fever and Phoenix Mercury, which took place on Monday, June 22nd, 2026. During the game, Fever player Caitlin Clark received a technical foul following a physical altercation involving Phoenix Mercury player DeWanna Bonner. After the play, Sophie Cunningham began pointing at Bonner while questioning the referees about why Bonner had not also been assessed a technical foul. Rather than lowering her arm, Cunningham continued pointing at Bonner while following her around the court and maintaining eye contact.

I had to go to yahoo news for an explanation and I'll never forgive you for that.
