My cat shares her life motto with Darkwing Duck, "let's get dangerous." Her current favourite is silently flopping down by my office chair and putting her tail directly behind a wheel...
I would have added a flap to the hinge side that blocks arms getting in. But you don't want solutions, you just want me to listen empathetically to your ongoing failures. :p
If the flap blocks the cat will lay down and reach up under, but at least the pinch won't be as bad.
You gotta get them once. I had one cat try to reach between the door of a closet. Didn't see her, fortunately closed it slowly. She screamed bloody murder of course. Didn't do damage, but you know what she hasn't tried again since?
Never mind. I looked again and see it's an orange. That's a hopeless cause there.
