EDIT: Wouldn't you want the slits to be on the outside of the bowl, so the water momentum carries all the debris out? I would think that some of the dirt / whatnot could just stay circling the outer edge, and may not drain when the water is shut off. I am not trying to nitpick. I mean, I am totally doing that, but not doing it to be a d-bag, just thinking out loud.
If the slits were on the outside then the water couldn't build up and make the whirlpool action.
Oh, good point. How about having the slits start up a bit from the bottom so the water could pool before it could spill out of the slits.
This has been on printables for a long time. Just make sure you coat the PETG with food safe epoxy. I think maybe you have to get it at just the right size for your water pressure though as the one I printed never achieved the vortex effect.
Neat, now I want to try to make one of these.
Found a similar one on amazon.
I'll explore my options from here to find another elsewhere but at least now I have some more info on it.
