"Show read posts" was unticked. Thanks, now it looks like I see all my own posts in my profile.
That setting really should not affect what you see in your own profile though. What an odd feature.
But per my previous post. I still see a lot of communities as empty. Any idea on that?
That is an odd relic from Lemmy and I'm always baffled that they can't get rid of the setting. This should be an entirely client-side setting.
Summit's own implementation should work perfectly. It has its own similar setting for hiding read posts. You can click on the eye in a community to toggle between showing and hiding read posts.
cool!
Try a different client first and see if the communities are still empty.
I know different clients sometimes showed me nothing depending on my settings, but i can't remember what the specific setting was. i know the nsfw setting does that for nsfw coms, and summit has so many more settings than jerboa.
oh or "show bot accounts" unchecked will block all posts in a community that's completely automated.
