There was an article about South Korea wanting to reestablish talks to get a final peace treaty and some of the comments were saying that "the USA wouldn't let them".
This is probably the best time since the armistice of the Korean War for North Korea to get a treaty on favorable terms. Trump would love to be able to get credit for a peace treaty to end the Korean War.

It's because Trump is ideologically opposed to backing up any allies unless they're punching someone he dislikes more. If Israel wasn't genociding brown people or if the gulf states didn't vibe so much with his type of capitalism, he wouldn't give a shit about them. If he can't bully you or bully others with you, you're worthless to him.
Or paying him bribes. You can buy the deaths of US soldiers from Trump in the form of cash or planes.
