To be fair, it only looks that way because it is.

[–] GladiusB@lemmy.world 4 points 13 hours ago

Pitchforks?

[–] bryophile@lemmy.zip 30 points 1 day ago (6 children)

Yes it does, I feel dirty after laughing because of AI slop. It's a good joke.

The original image is Russian neighbours.

[–] geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml 12 points 19 hours ago

If the Israelis are Russian Jews the original still works.

[–] NahMarcas@lemmy.ml 29 points 23 hours ago

Original image, yet not original text

Made/modified with Gemini, its four point star watermark is in the bottom right corner

[–] Saymaz@lemmygrad.ml 7 points 20 hours ago

I would much rather appreciate a dogshit drawing than this AI slop.

[–] dropdrip@lemmy.ml 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

There's water in the windows?

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 11 points 23 hours ago

The original it looks like they are supposed to be awnings but the AI fucked that.

[–] No_Money_Just_Change@feddit.org 5 points 23 hours ago (2 children)

Could you add the artist? Looks a bit slop-y to me

[–] CanadianCarl@sh.itjust.works 7 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

Sure, it is Google Gemini.

[–] davel@lemmy.ml 3 points 17 hours ago

This is a meme, not a comic. Why would a meme maker add a signature?

[–] davel@lemmy.ml -5 points 18 hours ago (2 children)

People get so worked up over AI-generated memes. They’re just memes, folks. They’re not taking away anyone’s livelihood, and they’re not going to be hung in the Louvre. They’re ephemeral.

Socialism is when you use corporate AI. You have your brains cooked by the heat from GPUs spinning.

Communism will happen any day now with these top minds.

[–] Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it 6 points 18 hours ago* (last edited 18 hours ago) (3 children)

Except that to make that shit they wasted 10x times the resources that are needed to change the text from the original meme with photoshop/GIMP/whatever and contributed to damage artists by using a collage machine of other people's art

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 2 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

This is what happens when you refuse to actually understand how anything works. These kinds of images can now be generated by small models running on your laptop. For example, Z-Image Turbo is just 6b params and will run on even modest hardware.

[–] Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it 0 points 15 hours ago* (last edited 15 hours ago) (1 children)

That's why i said 10 times and not 50

[–] yogthos@lemmy.ml 4 points 15 hours ago

One made up number is no better than another. The point is that generating images doesn't take any more power than most other things people use a computer for. So, what makes it so special that is needs to be singled out?

[–] m532@lemmygrad.ml 0 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

Explain how this meme financially hurts you.

potential profit maybe?

[–] Axolotl_cpp@feddit.it 2 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

It does not financially hurt me, i never said so

[–] m532@lemmygrad.ml 5 points 15 hours ago

Then how else does it "damage artists"? And how much damage is that in comparison to the damage the former status quo did to people who weren't considered "artists"?

[–] Dialectical_Idealist@lemmygrad.ml -2 points 17 hours ago

I see enough of this shit on facebook. And it's honestly the laziest way you could make a meme.
