Interesting choice; Mavericks is the one OS that Apple pulled from distribution and hasn’t provided a signed updated installer for. It has known security vulnerabilities and a few showstopper bugs.

It’s the OS I would have settled on except for the number of things that are broken in it.

So instead, I settled on El Capitan with a Snow Leopard image for non-Internet things. This runs on my x86 Mac hardware; for my PPC Macs, I dual boot between OS 9 and 10.4.

Anything else happens under emulation.

The author mentioned writing several security patches. I am curious if you also use el capitan/snow leopard as your daily driver?

El Cap is one of my daily drivers, yes. That’s what I run on my Intel Macs.
