We're told that after the war the Nazis vanished without a trace
But battalions of fascists still dream of a master race
The history books, they tell of their defeat in '45
But why'd they all came out of the woodwork
On the day the Nazi died
Comradeship // Freechat
Talk about whatever, respecting the rules established by Lemmygrad. Failing to comply with the rules will grant you a few warnings, insisting on breaking them will grant you a beautiful shiny banwall.
A community for comrades to chat and talk about whatever doesn't fit other communities
So if you meet with these historians I'll tell you what to say
Tell them that the Nazis never really went away
They're out there burning houses down and peddling racist lies.
And we'll never rest again until every Nazi dies.
I've been almost religiously listening to this song the past few months.
It's so fucking scary having you guys as neighbors. Like a live grenade being held by a dying lib ready to explode, (the liberal refused to defuse the grenade, because of checks and balances and that shit)
fascism has been rehabilitated, the conservative party of mexico "new" slogan is literally "patria, familia y libertad", almost exactly the same as Mussolini "dio, patria e famiglia".
I mean it’s also been the motto of DR
Kinda tells how organized the faction is in latin america.
How is the situation is Mexico politically
Crap honestly.
I thought it was better than the US or Europe why so many reactionaries is there any hope for a left wing movement
Outside the big cities, it's pretty much just a political wasteland.
Thats something right? You can organise in the big cities
The more overtly fascist a culture is, the more the system sees communists and socialism as a threat and therefore ripe for marxist action; organise with the disenfranchised (in your context: immigrants) especially those who will benefit from the down fall of the US empire - it is through this you will develop revolutionary optimism and hone your local class analysis to see who has the most revolutionary potential:

Marxism is a science; use this superpower to your advantage. Organisation is key. If you wanted to do something now on your own is to start outlining what skillsets you need to develop a statistical analysis of your local populations so you will know who and where to target.
You're frustrated and that is understandable.
Where I live the nazi propaganda goes pretty wild as well. But dont worry. This has happened 100 years ago as well.
Today when I read stalin to my wife (relationship goals, I know) I co cluded that hitler was capitalisms answer to stalin, same as trump and merz are the answer to xi. China is not only going to take care of this, they pretty much have already. Thousands of people in the west (and germany) are gaining favorable views of china and even communism despite the propaganda.
Its scary for me as well. I will keep reading, spreading info, converting folks to rednote, teach basic skills for the worst case (such as sewing, basic computer skills, prepping, etc.)
I also talked to the local communist party. They're nice. Just do your best and do what you need to stay sane. If you feel threatened and can afford it, consider moving. Anywhere is better than germany. If asia isnt an option, consider ireland.
In the meantime, feel free to contact me on genzedong to talk about germany related stuff, etc.
We will get through this. The only way out is through.
The moment "Slava Ukraini" became acceptable, shit completely went off the rails.
Literally been arguing with an "anarchist" on Mastodon rn about this term. Makes me want to beat my head against the wall.
Online anarkiddies are fasc in my book.
And we need to keep finding and exploiting these weak points. It is just rinse and repeat really.
Where are these people that you talk of that have favourable views of China in Germany haha? (Just a rhetorical question no real answer pls you know why)
The only good thing this political landscape has taught me is to be more assured in hating it more, I am now completely free of any doubt that we truly live in a completely corrupt system that is immune to any change besides the surface level. I doubted that in the past, but now I think Lenin was completely right even over 100 years ago. It is insane how little has changed below the surface. The only difference now is that fascist propaganda is 1000x more effective than the one of the 20th century, because of AI and social media manipulation (bots, paid influencers etc) and since they all have changed to party-dictatorial structures that favour individualism and appease the middle class (petit bourgeois) by concealing it with liberalist aesthetics.
Accurate analysis imo.
I strongly believe that there is no way of reform that actually makes this well.
BUT, as lenin and stalin rightfully stated, fighting for reforms to strengthen the working class is sometimes the only thing that can be done right now. It is a necessary step in the right direction. They pushed for the soviets in zarist russia which at the time was just a reform but it was a step in the revolution as well.
For example, people in the thousands have fought to keep chat control at bay. This alone wont save us but had we not done it, the power of the ruling class would increase even more.
To break it down: we cant try open battle as an unarmed working class against a militarized police force. They will murder us.
What we need to do is point out contradictions to the average citizen without defaulting to words like communism and stalin but by using class analysis anyway. Like what it means to have all your chat messages read and most likely sold in the process. Make people distrust the government and the bourgis. Help disarm the police, weaken the overwhelming power of the system by asking for small changes while still pursuing the grand plan.
This is the weak point. Organize in a party or union and spread class conciousness. People will start listening if your analysis keeps being right without you saying so. Use bold but accurate proclamations and repeat them. Repeat asking for a certain set of demands. In the past it was peace, land, bread and all power to the soviets. To day it might be "dont starve us" or "houses to those who live in them". If you want revolution, you need to show that is is possible.
From there, they will join education circles if you promote them. Once they start reading socialist books, they're mostly there. They might become trots or maoists but honestly that is still better than libs.
Btw. the ruling class wants you to think you cant change shit and that its all pointless. You need to resist that urge.
Dont have "hope". Have "spite". Pretend like its all for naught and you wont prevent anything but imagine you save 1000 people in the imagined nuclear catastrophe. Its not glorious but it is huge, compared to nobody. That way you dont take responsibility for things you cant change (govts ability to manipulate and peoples tendency to be manipulated for example). But that way you can keep going, stoically pursuing this small goal.
And if in the process you happen to form the next lenin in your ranks, you may just be the person who helped save the world.
TL;DR:
We need to keep the goals small enough for them to be achievable and big enough to have weight. Otherwise we will not do anything.
it's pretty harsh, but you can't let yourself let totally consumed by doomerism...fascists want to make you feel powerless
Europe keeps alienating its refugees while at the same time trying to exploit them for their labour the only trajectory this goes is large scale riots against the state as immigrants and refugees try to fight for their right to exist
I live in the United States, I definitely know how you feel.
The neoliberalism ideology, put forward in the 1980s by Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan, produced the collapse of the industrial complex in every country in the so called "western world". Since countries in Asia were much more populated and poor, western capitalists aimed at greater profits by transferring their production facilities to Asia and exploring the cheap (almost slave) labor.
As a consequence, massive unemployment and a degradation of work quality followed in the western societies. Since the local worker had become disposable, there was no need to sustain the social contract of welfare state, that is, the institutions created in the beginning of the XX century to maintain the readiness of workers to work, by providing education, health treatment, etc. This caused the decrease in the quality of life for the major part of the working-class citizen.
Turns out that Asian countries did not accept the role of "eternal slaves" dreamed by the western capitalist, and they managed to ride the wave and organize their societies. Thus the influence of western capitalists are decreasing globally and they are trying to create a "cold-war-like" atmosphere and reroute resources to military, so that they can impose their will by force on the Asian (and developing) countries.
One way of doing that is fascism. Stating their "national superiority" give them a god given right to subject others by force. And having this external enemy redirect the anger of the people away from the capitalists.
Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan
actually they were just the consequences of milton friedman and frederik hayek and their ridicilously stupid understanding of macro and micro economics. It all started in early 1970s (they were given a nobel economics prize in 1974...).
Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan were just the symbolic puppets there.
Actually, Friedman and Hayek are ideologues. They created a theoretical body to justify the changes in policy the West started to apply during Thatcher and Reagan times (but first tried in Chile and other places). All those actors represent the growing financial capitalist elite, who took control the politics in most of the world, directly and indirectly.
i feel so defeated all the time, if you ask me if i could see a light at the end of this tunnel i would tell you that i cant even see the tunnel right now
something that might help is that fascisdm is an inherently unstable idealogy. It also helps further expose the flaws in the system. The rise fo fascism all over the imperial core is a sign that capitalism is reaching a breaking point.
Europe is collapsing the good thing is they can’t do jack shit about it, globally at least, or they risk economic turmoil
yeah the west is collapsing and the western ruling classes are turning to fascism to maintain their power, every European and North American city will be another gaza in due time. That's all you know, murder and theft. Historical materialism 'comrades'.
If it helps any, I know little of Historical Materialism but am still pro murder and theft
You truly are the pinnacle that every western leftist should aspire to
I don’t know why your getting downvoted for such a banger
