Whenever Summit tries to load this post: https://lemmy.zip/post/56684650 the app crashes immediately.

Doesn't matter if it is opened directly or just showing up in the feed.

Looks to be due to the AVIF library I'm relying on being bugged. Greattttt 🙃

I'm going to remove the AVIF decoder bundled with Summit. The pro is that you will no longer crash. The con is that the image will no longer load (in Summit). This is better than crashing though I think.

Can't you check for AVIF support in the summit app? Android 12 had added native supporte for AVIF IIRC.

the AVIF decoder bundled with Android doesnt support all features so not all AVIfs load.
