L1 will give you the basics of what you need. Some companies expect that for lead hands and foreman but that alone won't get you a job.

L3 might get you a job.

I'd go look at job postinga and see what they require.

If you already have a job, see if they'll pay for it.

The issue is, that's the ideal spot for someone just getting into the business. Similar to a junior software engineer. If we start eliminating all the junior positions, it won't be long before we have no one qualified for the senior ones.

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good. You're on a budget and doing what you can. Don't sweat it.

If I'm entering a place that has food of any kind I'll just ask what they want, I've rarely been asked for something that exceeds $5-10. More often than not they eat, pack up their stuff and leave after that. They feel acknowledged, I feel good for helping and I also hopefully didn't contribute to the drug issue.

Honestly, the big one for me is finding a serious alternative to Lightroom
