And fuck ISO for charging so much for access to them.

Yes, the "not supported" thing is just their terminology. They could decide to stop pushing them at any time. Though technically they could pull the plug on anything whenever, but they're explicitly saying "we might stop supporting these unsupported Windows 11 installations at any time."

They didn't get rid of it, they're allowing you to upgrade to 11 and calling it unsupported. Just like 10 is unsupported.

I thought p.d's db issue was fixed now, but I haven't investigated. I just remember seeing announcement messages about it.

I could also see push notifications about adding bleach tablets or whatever to it periodically if that's your thing. I have a smart fridge (probably the dumbest smart fridge you can get feature wise, doesn't do much). I can check and adjust the temperature from my phone and get filter replacement reminders. It can send push notifications if the door isn't shut which would be more useful if I had kids. Just because you don't think you'd have uses for it doesn't mean it can't be useful.

Again, with the huge caveat that the toilet be capable of manually flushing.

I mean, it could be. Imagine getting a push notification when it overflows. The lowest pipe in my house is a toilet. Luckily my wife was nearby but it could've gone worse if we didn't see for a bit.

I mean, obviously a manual handle would be a requirement, but I could possibly see it? Like the idea of an app controlled bidet is not that far fetched because they have a lot of buttons and settings (obviously I want physical buttons too).

How often has that happened to you?

[–] JackbyDev@programming.dev 2 points 5 days ago (3 children)

As a noun to refer to humans?

[–] JackbyDev@programming.dev 4 points 5 days ago (3 children)

Obviously the exclusionary group is going to exclude the people they don't like with their slogans though. Trans exclusionary radical feminists don't believe trans women are women. The "adult human female" shit across from them "defining woman" or something to that effect.

I just view it as a quirk of the language. "Guys and girls" or "guys and gals" are paired words. Guy is a casual way to refer to men, so I think people use girl as a casual way to refer to women because it's sort of the pair to guy. Lady feels too formal.

Just don't use male or female as nouns to refer to humans. That simple. If you're talking about animals it doesn't matter.

It only shows Drive (for each account), Bug Reports (?) and System Traces (?). Of course, I just restarted my phone to see if it fixed it. It did, but as soon as I try a second time it's gone again.

I mention Discord but I'm pretty sure this file picker screen is not directly associated with Discord.

Update: This is affecting a friend of mine as well in the same way from the same time. Haven't determined if it's just Discord yet.

Update 2: Alright, if I scroll to the photos instead of selecting "files" then go to "all albums" I see Google Photos. Not sure what changed to make it like this but at least now I know.

:: Remove make dependencies after install? [y/N] y

If I didn't remove make dependencies, would yay/pacman be smart enough to know the thing I am installing does not actually depend on them? It's a very nice feature of package managers that they track dependencies and can do things like remove "dangling" dependencies and I don't want to mess that up with some random dependencies needed only for a build. But I also don't want to install something every time I need to build lol.

So does yay and/or pacman know that the things I am installing don't actually depend on the make dependencies?

Solution: Keeping the make dependencies after install will not fool pacman and/or yay into thinking the make dependencies are "real" dependencies of whatever you're building from AUR. They both correctly recognize them as orphans (unless of course something else actually depends on them). So feel free to not remove them during install without worrying about dependency graphs getting tarnished; you'll be able to easily remove them later if you'd like.

If I turn my controller on, it won't connect. But if it's on when I turn my computer on (or restart/wake from sleep), it connects just fine. I am using the "Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver for Windows". It's possible it's actually connected but not recognized by Steam or any games, but I am not sure how to troubleshoot that directly. The Arch wiki (linked) doesn't say anything about this specifically.

I am on CachyOS.

Any ideas? <3

Update: This somehow fixed itself. I don't think I even upgraded or anything since it was a problem.

On Windows I use the linked program. I tried using KDE's accessibility settings but the lowest time it can do it 100 ms, which I naturally do on occasion (mashing backspace quickly, for example). Is there any other solution?

I've seen some tools that do things like take snapshots periodically and ones that add snapshots to grub, but not this specifically. Does something exist?

This will probably be on EndeavourOS, not Arch directly, if it matters.
