The world does not trade in US dollars, thats a myth. If a Japanese company buys something in Australia, they convert from yen to AUD, they don't go through the USD. Thats not what "reserve currency" means.

There used to be a thing called the Gold Standard. The amount of gold you had in reserve was linked to the amount of money you could print. The gold standard failed because it was too restrictive.

After WW2, the US proposed that instead of a lump of metal, money creation would be tied to the national economy. The US economy would be the "gold reserve" of the world and all the other currencies woudl be compared to it. The goal was to reduce the amount of foreigners using USD, as this was causing American notes to leak overseas and made inflation difficult to determine.

The Euro is used over a range of economies that are only loosely tied together. Although crude monetary policy like interest rates are common, tax collection is up to individual countries, so the Euro is not a stable value as there are too many variables.

I like how people think this or the sabotaging of social secuity will lead to privatisation.

Yeah they could do that - but they are not. There aren't any plans, secretive or otherwise. they are just wrecking things and leaving nothing behind.

The Replublican party is opposed to social security - private or public. They want you to work until you die. They have literally said this repeatedly for 100 years, what is there not to get ?

In fact I believe the odometer reading is calculated from the electricty consumption, not from a meter in the gearbox. So if the range reading is inaccurate (and they are) it would throw out the mileage as well.

Should be super easy to prove too… Take an assortment of Teslas to a 1 mile stretch of road, drive it up and down 20 times, measure the mileage before and after.

Not necessarily, the incorrect readings may only occur at certain speeds or conditions.

Slavery never went away, they just became sharecroppers, which is a form of slavery.

SCOTUS ruled that sharecropping was a form of slavery in the 1960s. BTW, Clarence Thomas and Roberts want to overturn that ruling....

That's not what happended.

The Supreme Court refused to prosecute Trump (for a blatantly illegal act) and ruled that he was immune to prosecution for "official acts" which they refused to define.

Then they slow walked the case back to a lower court - deliberately - so the determination was not made until after the election.

Then in a state court, Trump was convicted, but the judge delared there was no penalty "because only a federal court could apply punishment".

Then a couple of days later the DoJ dopped the case because "the president is immune from prosecution".

What ? I've study botany and the term fruit is used extensively.

A fruit is the heterozygotic offspring of the parent plant. A seed is the male zygote, with the female zygote being pollen. So "seed" oils are made from fruit, just like olive oil.

A tuber (potato) or rhyzome (ginger) is a homozygotic offspring. A vegetable is a part of the plant that is not the offspring, like the leaves, stem or root.

The bigger deal is that this immunity protection does not extend to the President’s minions and officials.

Not directly, but any employee or agent has no liability if they are following legal orders of their employer. So no - they cannot be prosecuted either.
