Fuck the U.S. What a shitty clown country. There really is not more to say.
Man I just wish the U.S. would finally collapse. Who thinks a god damn water treaty from 80 years ago still makes sense in a world of droughts and endless moronic american farmers?

It is not silly, it is oppressive. Sure it is easier to install malware at the airport, but now they got "legal" ways of entering your apartment without your knowledge. This would make planting evidence so much easier. I am not saying we are at this point were the police plants evidence to get a case against someone but it is paving the road.
Why implement the law in the first place? Because it makes it easier for the people to live with the oppression. We sure like to believe we are free.
Right? And i would't trade it for anything but sometimes I can't help but feel like a traitor.
Don't get your hopes up yet. The EU is interested in prolonging this war as long as possible. Else betting on war economy is even worse than it already is. Germany simply likes to pretend that they love peace (we aren't Nazis anymore pls we promise OK?). In the meanwhile we will supply weapons like the killing machines we always wanted to be. And when the world is ready for our peace....

How much of this is population control and how much is actual protection of children? Like don't get me wrong, I genuinely don't know about this and the article does not tell me enough about the proposed bills. All I know from my life in the west (I simply don't know enough to judge the rest of the world), "protecting the children" has been a tool for extending surveillance.
In the meanwhile we have gutted education, social services and health services. More and more children live in poverty. Living in poverty increases the likelihood of abuse but doing something for real costs money, which our governors like to spend otherwise...

Enshittification is a process. Right now i don't see any alternatives that do better so I am looking forward to that follow up article.
