My pixel phone has meager storage. Could I use an old phone with bountiful SD space to serve up media via Bluetooth?

Any ideas if this would work practically speaking?

Edit: Looking for a functional equivalent of on-device storage space, i.e., for offline media consumption

USB phone jack is often used for power, so it's unlikely available for OTG storage

Battery life in the server phone should be ok since it will be running in airplane mode with only Wi-Fi and/or Bluetooth, and display off mostly

It's actually a great example.

Bolt has about 250 mile range and it's great for everything not too far, and even ok for infrequent road trips.

And your claim about 80% reduction is false and misleading.

For emergency purposes, mandate cell tower batteries with solar supplement.

And generators for bigger hubs.

Cellular internet is critical infrastructure now.

Same for ISPs. My internet wifi has battery backup, so as long as the ISP stays up we are good.

Cell towers nearby all went down during the last big power failure. I could hit one distant tower that still had power, but the signal was weak, and the tower was swamped. It could barely push data.

Next big earthquake will be a total shitshow if that's not fixed.
