Difficulty of reform aside, the pain and suffering that will come from societal collapse will be immense. The chance of successfully building a better system out of the crumbled remains is low. I don't think it's a great aspiration.

A plague of plagues is a plague?

The administration is completely different. The GOP had a lot more influence on the admin choices in 2016. MAGA is the party now and they get to appoint anyone they want. 2016 still had people who believed in democracy, the 2024 administration sees it as a hinderance.

What the fuck is this headline? The main subject of the reporting is the online reaction to the actual news story. Why can't they just report the event and not people's reaction to it?

The cars done even use Tesla's famous electric motor design (induction motors), I believe they use switched reluctance motors. Def a smart design choice, but not on brand!

Woah, first I'm hearing about this. How's it work? What's it called? How do you find a place?

Surprisingly, Star Wars is a great example of this. A rinky dink political group (rebels) blowing up a military installation (death star) is terrorism. That does not mean the action was unjustified.

We have to do this again tomorrow???

Energy in physics feels analogous to money in economics. Is a manmade medium of exchange used for convenience. It is the exchange medium between measureable physical states/things.

Is energy is real in the same way money is? An incredibly useful accounting trick that is used so frequently it feels fundamental, but really it's just a mathmatical convenience?

Small aside: From this perspective 'conservatipn of energy' is a redundant statement. Of course energy must be conserved or else the equations are wrong. The definition of energy is it's conservation.
