This doesn't matter that much, but

doesn't grow up with privilege

is wrong. His parents are a lawyer(serving as assitant disttrict attorney) and a upscale resturant owner, his grandfather was an architect connected to the financial world through making Windows of the World and working with Ford Foundation. He did not directly go into politics or anything, but he comes from a family with money and some connections.

Rome was continually called Rome, but people harkon back to old empires and see themselves as extending it. It had many civil wars and changes and moved capitals and everything. My point is that if we call that one empire, maybe historians will consider the US as part of the larger Anglo American empire

I love it! That peace of connecting to our inner selves, listening to our intuition rather than our chattering minds really resonates with me. And I'd bet many many others.

Why tf we need drones? We need billionaires to pay taxes and basic necessities to be funded from that.

😮‍💨 yes, steam is a monopoly. Each purchase first loses 30% of it to steam! That is a massive cut! Developers and Publishers wouldn't publish there if they had a choice.

Yes, they have so many great features and help Linux and yadaya... that is them showing their monopolistic power. Having everyone's main pc library + store + events + now hand held is them extending their grasp throughout the industry. Grow big and wide and heavy, crushing alternatives

Developers already hurt from the 30% fee. And one day, consumers will feel it too. The monopoly will stop giving a f about them, as their is no reason to, and the company y will be hollowed out for billionaire gain

He works for billionaires. This is just a virtue signal to make it look like he could be taxing AI when really it's a regressive tax that would hurt poor people the most and further save his voter base: billionaires.

So he will never push a genuine wealth tax, but he will push red herrings.

As a rust-curious dev, what are the benefits to using it in Godot? Does the game run any faster than if it were programmed in CO# or GD script? Is web more stable with it?

I switched this year from windows: overall really well. Although, I work in a couple apps (R Studio, Unity) that are just not friendly with Linux (neither are terrible but neither are as smooth as alternatives). And had some compatibility issues with certain gamepads.

Nope - if there are swathes who say they want to switch to Linux but 'don't commit', that just reveals there is a real gap where Linux needs to be easier for people to install and use on a daily basis.

Most people don't want to be a mechanic, they just want a car
