Texas Governor Greg Abbott is smiling through the "Governor Hot Wheels" controversy ... sharing a meme from Antonio Brown that depicts him as Professor X.

Abbott hopped on Elon Musk's app Thursday and reposted a meme from the former NFL player, which compares Abbott to the X-Men character ... who both use wheelchairs.

The Governor says ... "Gotta add this to my resume. Need the outfit. They see me rollin'."

AB caption his original post ... "Cracker of the Day #CTESPN Professor X aka @GregAbbott_TX Legend!!"

Abbott and Brown are playing off Rep. Jasmine Crockett's remarks about the Governor earlier this week, when she called him "Governor Hot Wheels."

President Donald Trump announced Thursday that he was pulling Rep. Elise Stefanik’s nomination to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, a stunning turnaround for his Cabinet pick after her confirmation had been stalled over concerns about Republicans’ tight margins in the House.

Trump confirmed he was withdrawing the New York Republican’s nomination in a Truth Social post, saying that it was “essential that we maintain EVERY Republican Seat in Congress.”

“We must be unified to accomplish our Mission, and Elise Stefanik has been a vital part of our efforts from the very beginning. I have asked Elise, as one of my biggest Allies, to remain in Congress,” the president said, without mentioning who he would nominate as a replacement for his last remaining Cabinet seat.

Stefanik’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Germany has said it "will not give in" and that Europe must "respond firmly" as US President Donald Trump targets imported cars and car parts with a 25% tax in his latest tariffs.

Other major world economies have vowed to retaliate, with France's president branding the move "a waste of time" and "incoherent", Canada calling it a "direct attack", and China accusing Washington of violating international trade rules.

Carmaker stocks from Japan to Germany dipped. In the US, General Motors dropped 7%, while Ford fell more than 2%.

Trump has threatened to impose "far larger" tariffs if Europe works with Canada to do what he describes as "economic harm" to the US
