Either say ‘retard’ and own it or don’t say retard. Nothing gets better by masking single fucking letters. Especially when asterisks get interpreted as italicized text in markdown.

Calling someone or something retarded is actually against moderation policy on lemmy.world.

I know cause I was explicitly called on it by one of the admins when I first joined.

Ironically I think the word is a great description of the policy that bans it, but it is what it is, not my house not my rules.
