The fucking hubris. These mother fuckers really think we’re just gonna get on our knees because they’re rich, or roll over and die while they take over the world.

This world will be Elon’s tomb. He’s not gonna make it to Mars.

If we go to Mars it will be as free people, building a sustainable, egalitarian world where no one bows down to power hungry dictators.

If we go to Mars, they will keep earth.

What was the universe where distant planets were used as conc camps? Red Faction? Riddick?

[–] BigPotato@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

I'd say Red Faction fits the bill better. They just took them to Mars under the false pretense of work and pay but they beat them when they got there.

If I recall, the prison planet in Riddick was man-made. Wouldn't be the first time I was wrong today though.

If we go to Mars we'll die, it's not happening.

[–] HK65@sopuli.xyz 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

We'll die either way, life is deadly

[–] Kecessa@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 weeks ago

The difference is that it's a suicide that takes two years to reach its conclusion. Wanna send people to Mars? Alright, you can only send people who are willing to die either on the way there or on the ground there. They'll be exposed to much higher levels of radiations than people on the space station and their bone mass will just deteriorate to the point that they can never come back on earth.

The rich still die...

He’s not gonna make it to Mars.

He never intended to go to Mars. Remember the real reason for the moon mission and shudder.

Why are you asking random questions? Where are you going with this?
