Just for conversation:
If you set aside legality. Do you feel you have the right to access other people’s creative work? Do you draw a line anywhere?
As a general rule, no I don't, but when it comes to productions by huge conglomerates like Apple, Netflix, Disney, etc I really wouldn't shed a tear, especially if I was in the situation that I couldn't access something due to technical issues even if I'd paid for it.
I would never pirate indie content – whether movies, games or otherwise – or books though, and even with the "big name" content I'll often pay for it afterwards if at all possible if I actually like it. Unfortunately legally acquiring especially even slightly media is often a real pain in the ass nowadays, thanks to region locks and all that bullshit.
Edit: as a note, I do still have an active Apple TV subscription. although I've canceled it
I appreciate the measured response!
