My old ass remembers when there was no online multiplayer and you had to cram four students onto an inflatable plastic sofa, close enough that the wires from the multitap reached.

I always wanted to do the system link with two psones as a kid but I didn't know anyone who had the thing for it.

We did that quite a few times, mostly with two of the best racing games ever; the Wipeouts & Ridge Racer Type 4. Both awesome soundtracks, both awesome games, usually drunk or high after coming in from an awesome night out.

Cool, I wanted to play bushido blade on the system link myself.

I never actually played Bushido Blade. Apart from a bit of Tekken I (and most of my peeps) were racing game fans mostly.

It's fun, really unique fighting games based around swords and has one hit kills.

I remember when I had a sofa in my bedroom, and schoolmates would come over over to get their asses kicked in GoldenEye 007 multiplayer.

I tried playing Splinter Cell online. I was killed several times by an invisible player. I promptly logged off and never went back to online games.

You got out-stealthed in a stealth game.

Shame. Spies v Mercs was one of the best multiplayer games ever. idk if it would hit the same today but in the Chaos Theory/Double Agent era it slapped.
