Is the monarchy in spain even that much of a problem? Afaik, most monarchies around the world are purely for representative reasons without any real power connected to those positions or titles. Is that different in spain?
The previous king (obviously the father of the current one) who abdicated and is still alive has had great controversies both for his relaxed sexual life (for being elegant speaking) and for certain bank accounts with money of unclear origin. That was the reason he abdicated.
Taking this away, it is true that it is not a problem that we Spaniards think too much, but when the polls ask, the majority option would be to change it for a republic
