It's as Canadian as any publicly traded company of that size can be. RBI is TSX listed and Toronto headquartered. 3G capital (the "Brazilians" people are referring to when they say that it's Brazilian owned) while still the largest single shareholder, is down to a 26% stake.

Nope. 3G, the brazillian part of RBI, is the ones who bought Burger King before merging with Tim Hortons.
