Why do we even have forced laborers making out clothes in oppressive regimes like Bangladesh if we are going to pay 4 bucks a piece?
Because they'd be ten times the price if they were produced in a country that treats its workers better.

though it lasts like 3-4 years a pair. i only buy like maybe 2-3 pieces of underwear a year.

No way I’m wrapping my jingly janglies in something I bought from the dollar store.

The recent episode of GB sewing bee had contestants making knickers out of jersey t-shirts they got 3 pairs per t-shirt. Plus some elastic and time of course. But you do also need a sewing machine however its a good machine for life.
