This must be a veterinarian playset.

[–] OwOarchist@pawb.social 38 points 3 days ago (4 children)

Sure, the multiple guns are stealing the show, but what's with the 2 ducks and 2 bowling pins? (And everything else besides that is pretty much just dentist stuff, not general purpose doctoring.)

[–] Ghostalmedia@lemmy.world 14 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Looks like balls can be fired by the guns. And the ducks and pins are targets. And the rest is dentist stuff.

[–] bampop@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

The balls are there so you can act out fun choking scenarios with your 3 year old kid.

[–] wizardbeard@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 3 days ago

Oh, good. I was worried the balls were one of those butt rip cord starters.

[–] Jesus_666@lemmy.world 6 points 3 days ago

Perhaps they were thinking of an American doctor.

The bowling pins are for hitting the patient on the head because that's the only anesthesia they can afford. The ducks are the little birdies circling the patient's head after the anesthetic bludgeoning has been administered.

The first gun is there because America and the second gun is so you can double-tap the patient in case you suspect they might be an immigrant.

Those are prosthetics to up your Operation game. No longer just taking stuff out, now you gotta put stuff back!

[–] tiramichu@sh.itjust.works 5 points 3 days ago

Literally just "Take whatever we have, and call it a doctor playset" lol

I'm guessing they are antivax.

[–] Aceticon@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 3 days ago

It's for putting down patients that die and turn into zombies.

Anyways, that's how I lost my medical license

No grip safety, literally unplayable.

That's Loid Forger's kit, obviously.

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Ah, the euthanasia gun, my favorite medical device.

[–] gigastasio@sh.itjust.works 2 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Isn’t every gun a euthanasia gun??

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago (1 children)

This is a gun made specifically for euthanasia, and is usable in highly sterile environments.

[–] Agent641@lemmy.world 2 points 3 days ago

It needs to be easily sanitised so the patient doesn't get an infection

This is Tactical Breach Wizards lore, I'm certain

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

damn that game was so fun until i hit a brick wall

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's rare I find a game that I will play straight through and beat, these days. I hope you'll circle back to it occasionally, the story is really satisfying to finish.

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 2 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

I'm sure i will, i love tactical games and there are very few that really satisfy the feeling I'm looking for. XCOM is pretty much the codifier of the genre but it was brutal for me. I loved and finished Marvel Midnight Suns, and Tactical Breach Wizards was surprisingly good. good gameplay, really good writing. I'd love to go back into it actually.

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 2 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

I haven't done much with turn based tactical games in recent years, I think my fav aspect of TBW is how the fictional conceits have a fun way of justifying the gameplay, and really taking those ideas as far as possible. Some of the later battles are so elaborately orchestrated that it's impossible to conceptualise the actual sequence of events, but it all hangs together because it's a story about an actual wizard with time powers. I also like that the protagonists are generally non lethal, it makes them more genuinely heroic rather than just "the best at killing".

[–] pyre@lemmy.world 2 points 14 hours ago

it's a crime that there isn't an Android version actually. I'd definitely be playing it.

[–] andybytes@programming.dev 3 points 3 days ago

Times are tough for those in the medical field. Some even have firearms in their toolkit for sudden horse paste induced zombification
