Cyberpunk is a science-fiction sub-genre dealing with the integration of society and technology in dystopian settings. Often referred to as “low-life and high tech,” Cyberpunk stories deal with outsiders (punks) who fight against the oppressors in society (usually mega corporations that control everything) via technological means (cyber). If the punks aren’t actively fighting against a megacorp, they’re still dealing with living in a world completely dependent on high technology.

This is the first I've heard of this and i have to say I'm very interested.
I tried gits: arise but just didn't find it enjoyable as a fan of the original movies and series, the animation didn't do it for me. The animation in this teaser looks great, looking forward to hearing more about the story they'll be telling. Is there any word on when the release is planned for? Will it be dubbed? I wonder who the voice actors will be?

I hope that doesn't mean it never gets an English dub like most other Amazon anime.
If they do dub it, i hope they do as good of a job as they did with the original film and SAC. That's one of the few animes I actually watch in English because they did such an excellent job. They actually acted instead of flatly reading lines off a sheet of paper.
Hyped. Looks like some really well-composed scenes, which is promising.
