While this being a touching story this will be used by the greedy at the top to justify abandonment of childcare in the long run... in internal discussions. And posts like this are used to normalize the idea.

This father shouldn't be forced to bring his child to work at all.

There's absolutely nothing touching about this

[–] justsomeguy@lemmy.world 35 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Aww, he's one slip away from crushing the kid's skull on concrete.

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 1 points 2 months ago

Now that's what I call touching!

[–] Asetru@feddit.org 31 points 2 months ago

It kind of touches my rage against uncontrolled capitalism though. Does that count?

[–] mlatu@moist.catsweat.com 9 points 2 months ago

touching the new depressing

[–] GardenGeek 7 points 2 months ago

True.

To me it appears that it's framed that way which is disturbing.

An example on why childcare isn't necessary, but also a reason to fire him because he is distracted at work and not maximizing his productivity.

Nothing is as touching as subjecting your toddler to concrete dust for 8+ hours a day, it's great for their development!

[–] Sp00kyB00k@lemmy.world 12 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It is saddening that there is no "village" or community to aid such a person in hardship...

[–] Olgratin_Magmatoe@slrpnk.net 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Why would there be? There's profit to be gained elsewhere, and that comes before everything else of course.

When this orphan was crushed the community came together and cleaned up the mess to avoid being fined by the HOA.

More uplifting news at 7.

Is this image from America? It's incompatible with all kinds of regulations in the developed world.

[–] MinFapper@startrek.website 3 points 2 months ago

Vocational Education. He'll be able to learn the construction industry at his own pace. He should be able to start cleaning up debris at around 3 or 4. He'll be operating heavy machinery by 10.

I'm sure breathing concrete dust is fine for a baby. Good for him even. Builds character while providing his lungs with heavy reinforcement against collapses and drone strikes.

Poor fellas, keep your head up champions, im sure we can create a better world than this.
