I checked out their feed since I figured I must have missed a big burst of bad content, but I don't see anything misandrist. I see a few posts critical of certain men, but even that's the minority of content.

Even going through comments I see only a healthy amount of misandry. I don't see any organizing of violence against all men, or even normalizing of it.

If you're feeling triggered by the things you see in a space meant for an oppressed class to vent then I think you're just too sensitive.

Yeah talking about what we would pair with a sweater or talking about our Monday motivations or supporting DKP’s garden adventures is total misandry. You got us.

[–] dkppunk@piefed.social 12 points 1 week ago (2 children)

Fuck yeah! I appreciate all the gardening support!! 💚

Hey OP, just wanted to pop in to see how your attempt to garner support for your shitass take on an online space that isn’t meant for you was going.

looks around

Yup. Pretty much what I thought.

I haven't noticed a prevalence of that there. Checking it just now I can't find a single example of misandry. Maybe you are just misreading the vibe.

If you don't identify as a woman, it doesn't matter whatever the fuck is going on in there because it clearly says it's not about you.
Until they start brigading other communities I see no reason why men should even care, let alone actively engage.

[–] Watermark710@piefed.social 20 points 1 week ago

Seriously. I saw that it was a space for women, and since I'm not a woman I blocked the community so I don't accidentally comment in a community where I'm not wanted. If the ladies need a space to vent, there's nothing wrong with that.

But do I tag this user as "troll" or "misogynist"?

[–] one_step_behind@quokk.au 12 points 1 week ago

Yeah, this is even better.

[–] hypnicjerk@lemmy.world 15 points 1 week ago (49 children)

maybe post some examples of what you find distasteful, OP?

[–] velma@sh.itjust.works 12 points 1 week ago

He wouldn’t be able to misrepresent what that community actually is about if he did that.

Simply, no it isn't. I took a look, it's honestly a nice community and doesn't look like "an echochamber of misandry" Saying this as a guy btw

[–] sunrisepirate@piefed.social 11 points 1 week ago

I'm not a woman and it's none of my business what happens on womanstuff so I blocked it.

[–] VibeSurgeon@piefed.social 9 points 1 week ago (3 children)

Unless you're in the intended audience for the community, you should probably block it, so that it's kept out of your mind
