They are not terrified they are wilingfully letting iarael do whatever they want
Letting them do what they want? Na, where do you think all the defense supplies used by the IDF are coming from?
The usa, EU and Canada
So.. Living inside that zone (of EU USA Canada) I don't feel we just let them do whatever they want. It's even worse, we're supplying fuel for them to burn down houses 😔

What gives Israel power over at least the US is that to admit the colonialism and genocide is wrong in Israel means to truly admit it was and IS wrong here in the US.
What gives Israel power in the US is bribery is legal here.
I'm sure of this, but basically the whole world agrees with this opinion (see UNO resolutions). Why is the USA willing to die on that hill?
The U.S. is an empire, and Israel is it's largest military outpost in the Middle East. Israel also gives the U.S. deniability: Israel can do things that align with U.S. interests (e.g., various attacks on Iran), but the U.S. doesn't risk blowback to the same degree it would if the U.S. pulled the trigger itself.
This is why the U.S. generally supports everything Israel does, only pulling the leash when Israel's actions start to get inconvenient.
The late state empire problem the U.S. is facing now is that it's stocked its government with too many true believers to recognize this dynamic. They just support Israel full stop now, no matter what Israel does, no matter if (as Democrats just saw) it costs your party an election. Trump is surrounded by these true believers, but doesn't give a shit about anything himself and only understands self-interest, so where we go from here is up in the air.
That is the question everyone who is protesting in the US right now along with everyone who finds solidarity with them as they protest in their own way in their own lives is shouting into the sky right now in one form or another.
I think this is a step genuinely in the direction of realizing we don't have to die on this hill but yes it is mindshattering how self immolating this whole thing is especially because it hurts the rest of the world so dearly :(
That hasn't stopped the US from condemning countries that aren't Israel.
Evangelicals believe that it will lead to The End Of Times and thus the Rapture. Religion will destroy this planet.
And thus, I argue that we need to destroy/ dismantle religion before it does so
Nothing lowers my opinion of someone faster than finding out they are devoutly religious.
The evangelical Christian Zionists have been pushing for changes in the US since Reagan and slowly taking over most key political positions in the country.
20 years ago I watched these documentaries and told my wife they reminded me on how Khomeini built his army of fanatic followers.
