It's certainly up there with the swasticar burning in front of trump tower
That's nice one for symbolism, but this one on OP is just plain beautiful as a photo
If RATM were still making music, this would be a candidate for an album cover for sure.
Tom Morello was at the protest, hopefully he's had the same thought
I really hope this is real and not AI
Edit: It's real!
Wow I never knew cars could burn so completely. I guess I've only ever seen ones where the skeleton is still left standing.
Interesting pictures though, thank you for sharing.
Waymo uses Jaguar I-Pace CUVs that are built primarily out of aluminum and powered by lithium ion batteries. Aluminum melts at about 660°C, and Li-ion battery fires can easily reach 1000°C
Doesn't look like AI, the bike and rider seem too accurate for AI
AI is pretty shit at accurately recreating bikes. Harder than fingers.
OP provided a source, so it's real, but don't forget that Photoshop is still a thing as well
Yep
Early winner of "Hardest image of 2025” contest
Idk, this year has a lot of potential
Goddamn that's beautiful.
Fucking radical.
This takes "one less car" to a whole new level!
I hope those are government cars, and not random people's cars. Because that would be way more radical
They're Waymos.
Community banner image right there.
Edit: I retract my statement. Apparently Waymo footage might get used in police/ICE investigations, so fuck 'em.
~~"Fuck ICE so let's burn some Waymos"
I support the protests and the general movement away from cars but I don't think this is helping anybody or the environment~~. Pretty sick picture tho.
I've read that police (I'm not sure if that includes LAPD) have started using video from Waymo cameras in their investigations, same as they use CCTV from shops etc.
So that might be one reason to burn them, especially if they were seen to have been sent into the protest area not for passengers but for reconnaissance.
Or maybe it's just because they don't fight back.
Oh shit, well if that's the case then I'm cool with it.
