France and Algeria resume diplomatic talks on Sunday in a sign of a possible thawing of tensions following months of vociferous exchanges that have jeopardised Paris’ economic interests in its former colony. Relations deteriorated when Macron backed a plan for autonomy for the Western Sahara region under Moroccan sovereignty. Former Diplomat of the US Department of State in Paris, France, William Jordan, joins us.
