Didn't she rent out like half of ~~Venice~~ Palermo for a wedding or something, leading to severe criticism from the locals

It was Palermo, apparently, but yes - there were complaints because of some road closures.

Venice was Bezos.

I feel like if a town is able to be rented out despite local opposition, it is more a sign that the people complaining about the closures need to get more involved in local politics.

I hadn't heard about that but yes, you're right. I think that kind of thing is vulgar.

She has stood up for vulnerable people many times, too. Most artists look the other way and count their money.
