  • "bad" word censored for not tripping the Facebook OCR filter ✅
  • Logo of a movie that's currently spending a lot of marketing money, perfectly centered and with properly applied transparency ✅

Result: definitely an organic meme, not sponsored

[–] justme@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 1 day ago

sounds correct. before this "meme", i didn't know that they made another one.

[–] LogicalDrivel@sopuli.xyz 84 points 3 days ago (5 children)

Cunt.
The word is cunt. Cunty Cunty Cunt.
There, now you can rest easy and not have to wonder what the word was.

[–] Venator@lemmy.nz 3 points 2 days ago

I thought this was a new word for a document that isn't a CV 😅

[–] DmMacniel@feddit.org 7 points 3 days ago

Spelling the word Cunt like cunt is cunty.

[–] Amir@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

[–] beejboytyson@lemmy.world 0 points 18 hours ago

The God father was peak cinema, you buy fake heros from real villains.

[–] Glytch@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Don't like the movie you like.

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 20 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Why is this stupid bullshit advertisement on Lemmy?

It's "cunt". What, did you think this post is monetized?

[–] FatVegan@leminal.space 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

When i see the ofiicial movie logo, perfectly cut out and placed, i tend to think it's just an ad. Writing cunt and "new capeshit£ in ms paint would be a meme.

It's pronounced

C

U

N

T

Thank you for your attention.

[–] RVGamer06@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Is it just me, or OP kinda sounds like Mussolini censoring "cunt" like that?

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 18 points 3 days ago (2 children)

How about don't be a cunt by censoring cunt? May not be you OP, but whoever censored it, stop it

Came in looking for spoilers.

Was disappoint.

I don't care, I'm not going to watch it.

[–] FatVegan@leminal.space 3 points 2 days ago

This seems like such a placed ad to make tge movie seem more interesting that it is. Oh no, please don't spoil the disney movie, please no god.

[–] fenrasulfr@lemmy.world 17 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Peter Parker is Spiderman.

[–] tautalas@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago (1 children)
[–] ceenote@lemmy.world 40 points 3 days ago (3 children)

I sure hope Uncle Ben makes it.

[–] No_Money_Just_Change@feddit.org 10 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Uncle ben does, in fact, not make it. He has nothing to do with the creation of the movie as he is the mascot of a rice company, not an employee in film production

One rule. No one stays dead but Uncle Ben.

[–] BreakerSwitch@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

It used to be Uncle Ben and Gwen Stacey. But now it's only Uncle Ben

I assume this meme was made by an American.

It's spelt: C U N T And in my country it's not gendered language.

I am a white man and I've been called a cunt more times than I can count. And I've called my friends and random people a cunt so many insane amounts of times that even the greatest computer on earth couldn't calculate it.

Me watching people take MCU seriously after endgame 7 years ago in which it became painfully obvious Disney ran out of ideas just like they did with every other franchise they own.

Someone who apparently hasn't watched anything MCU in 7 years trying to convince everyone that there are no new ideas. It's comic books man. I get that it's too lowbrow for you but just let people like things if they want to.

[–] Vespair@lemmy.zip 6 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Comics have always waxed and waned. Some of the great storylines in comics happen between some of the worst. Imo it makes sense that the films following this model could do the same, and writing all of the off forever because you haven't been 100% satisfied every time seems silly.

It's okay to not like the MCU, and it's okay to be done with it. But you seem to be suggesting that the MCU was once good in your eyes - why do you think that somebody that has been proven to you to be good once is not capable of being good again?

[–] SpongyAneurysm@feddit.org 6 points 3 days ago (4 children)

If you want, you can try to sell it to me.

I was a teen when the very first Spiderman movie came out, and I found it quite entertaining at the time. (Kirsten Dunst might have had something to do with it)

I was also ok with the X-Men and saw Iron Man, which still was okayish but started to feel a bit silly to me.

I've kinda lost interest in those kinds of superhero movies. Sure I kinda liked Watchmen, if only for the great soundtrack, and ofc I've seen the praised Batman Trilogy (Begins, Dark Knight, Returns), I also kinda enjoyed Kickass for being partly a parody of its own genre. But after that era, I've never really felt the urge to watch any of these movies.

What am I missing out on? Which movies do you consider a must see (or at least great entertainment) even for someon who doesn't know a whole lot about the MCU beforehand and has never read a comic book like that?

[–] Notyou@sopuli.xyz 1 points 11 hours ago

I want to try to sell you on X-Men based off your likes of watchmen and the DK trilogy. I have the same taste. X-Men hasn't been great. The 90s cartoon and the reboot X-Men 97 is better than any movie that fox or the MCU has produced.

There is meat on the bone though. I am hoping that after the secret wars and battle world the MCU can introduce good storylines for the X-Men. Each X-Men movie has had good scenes but never a good complete story. For me, I'm enjoying the cartoon way more than anything the movies have showed me.

Fuck your censorship, cunt.

Simple as.

[–] ivanafterall@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago (3 children)

It turns out they were on Earth the entire time. That's what the collapsed Statue of Liberty shot at the end was all about.

[–] ChickenLadyLovesLife@lemmy.world 4 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

God damn you all to hell.

Speaking of which, it's pretty wild to imagine that the one part of NYC surviving a thousand years into the future would be a big head made of thin copper sheets attached to an iron frame.

The cast was listed on the app I used to watch it, so I had seen one of the actor's characters names and kinda spoiled myself. Still a fun movie if you like the mcu.

[–] darkmogool@feddit.org 15 points 3 days ago

Found a spelling error. It's written: CUNT

[–] Anarki_@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 3 days ago
[–] ExLisper@lemmy.curiana.net 17 points 3 days ago

Didn't they already do a Spider-man movie?
