The good news for Putin is most of the people who have seen how badly it is going on the russian side are already dead!
It is much easier to paint a rosy picture than if those stupid doomed idiots charging the Ukrainian frontlines actually survived and were able to send word back about how futile the war is.
and what did that achieve? they killed some civilians and destroyed a few buildings. hitler tried the exact same thing with Great Britain but bombing London didn't win him the war.
What it achieved was to apply a tourniquet to the hemoraghing artery of artillery pressure on Ukraine's frontlines that Ukraine had let flow red by chopping off russia's effective use of ground artillery with adept counter battery work.
Now all that is left is to apply a pair of scissors to the tourniquet and the land war is over for good.
It has been proven over and over again that wars are not won by bombardment alone. This war of attrition is horribly painful for both sides but Russia has far more to lose and far more squishy bits to stomp on while Ukraine continues to develop new long range weapons.
