Der Landkreis Harz hat den Brocken gekauft, zumindest den Gipfel. Am 1. Juli 2025 ist die 1.141 Meter hohe Spitze offiziell öffentliches Eigentum. Neben dem Eigentumswechsel plant der Landkreis eine umfassende touristische Weiterentwicklung – und hat dafür ganz spezielle Ideen.
