He was obstructing law enforcement by advocating foe the defendant in court. That's what he's accused of. Defending a criminal defendant. For helping the defendant get due process. That's obstruction to a fascist and only a fascist. If they arrest you, that is a declaration of your guilt I their eyes.

He demanded to see a warrant for the person he was escorting, which these masked-up unidentified thugs refused to provide until after they started detaining him. Then they kept flashing the "warrant" in his face like a TV con man flashing a fake badge, as if it even mattered at that point.

Reminder, everyone. ICE shouldn't have the fucking power to write their own "administrative" warrants anyway. It's fascism through and through, and it's not obstruction of justice if there is no justice in the first place.

Due process for all isn't just right, it's necessary for any justice to even exist. Anything less, and they will come for you eventually. Speak out now, before it's too late.

Thank you for stating it so plainly. Taking any action you can now is super important.

They're trying to incrementally increase the outright fascist behavior slowly. No one day or action is much of a change from the previous action. It makes it easier for the average American to just go about their life. There's never a "president tears up constitution" moment in the news, just another slightly shitter small thing. They wrote the playbook out in project 2025 so that they can keep ramping it up every day with a prescheduled list of steps to take and no time is wasted.

They have 4 years to try and prevent the next election, and they have a road map.

That's the same reason they have been arresting judges: trying to get people their day in court instead of them being kidnapped by the Gestapo.

Every time I see footage of those disgusting masked gestapo agents, I have thoughts I'm not allowed to share here. 🤔

And his ghoul squad.

Why do none of those cops look or dress like cops??

[–] QuantumSpecter@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

How is this not at the top of reddt and lemmy.

Political opponents are being detained without warrant

The night of the long swords part two is unfolding.

[–] noredcandy@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

Worth noting (and mentioned several paragraphs in to the article) he is running for mayor in the democratic primary.

[–] Pulsar@lemmy.world 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

This is completely normal in militarized states. I don't understand why is this event relevant.

[–] lka1988@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago

Because this dude is running for NYC mayor
