Reports about heavy drinkers are masking the core issue, there is simply no safe dose of alcohol drinking, the science is pretty solid now. One of the lastest official announcements picking up the scienctic consensus: https://www.sciencealert.com/there-is-no-safe-level-of-alcohol-consumption-us-surgeon-general-warns.
