I was gonna say Happy by Pharrel Williams but someone else said Sweet Caroline and I might have to change my vote. Actually it's not that terrible of a song (Sweet Caroline I mean), but hearing it played at weddings and sporting events and then they pause it so everyone can scream BUM BUM BUMMM does get to me after the 5 millionth time.
Any modern country song. bonus if they say boots, beer, etc.
Trucks!
Jump by Van Halen
Whichever 21 Pilots "song" was played most recently in my vicinity.
"What's going on" by Four Non-Blondes - what a childish nepo baby song and what a dumb fucking name for a band.
Waiting on the world to change is that for me.
Whatever coldplay song is on the radio
Baby shark
u love u by Jax
Happy birthday, there's a bunch of other traditional birthday songs passed down in other languages and cultures that are so much better than happy birthday
Imagine dragons - cutthroat.
I refuse to believe that this is a real song. Id themselves are garbage in general, but this is just insane.
Sweater weather. I already didn't like the downtempo vibe, but it got painfully overplayed back in the day. Unfortunately, I still hear it occasionally. Anything but that, please.
Disappointed that I have not seen every song Dave Matthews has ever sung listed in here.
Watermelon sugar
Dubstep.
I kinda love dubstep tbh a lot of it is stupid but I love how distinct and intense it is.
Check out the earlier stuff if all you've heard from dubstep is sick drops & giant subs
Toss up between Jenny (867-5309) for being absolutely disgusting on a conceptual level for glorifying stalker behavior or Owner of a Lonely Heart for going fucking nowhere and then having the audacity to drop a blaring synth note like it's a crescendo before going back to nothing.
Lemon Tree by Fools Garden
It's weird how many people are mentioning older songs, because most modern songs are absolute trash. Just a refrain, singing the same 3 autotuned notes again and again.
I hate to say ok boomer but that is a painfully boomer take
Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond. I’m from New England so I hear it often and the back story makes me cringe every time and I haaate it
Yeah as someone who has spent almost their whole life in the Carolinas I am sick to death of that song, especially when people do the little singalong bits.
MmmBop. I hated it the first time I heard it, I hate it now, and I only have to be reminded of it's existence and it will play in my head because it is so fucking catchy that somebody must have sacrificed the minimum of one newborn to some dark deity that thrives one human suffering.
My old boss used to die of cringe any time I started humming this song at the office.
Great song!
Skibidi toilet, I hate it with a passion.
All About That Bass by Meghan Trainor. It is the only song I seriously hate, and also the only artist I seriously hate hearing. I don't love the message, and Ialso don't like the delivery at all. I think a factor is also how overplayed it was when it first came out.
plus she took Ozempic to lose weight, so she wasnt all about that base at all, lol
Black Hole Sun.
It's a tedious, grating and ridiculously repetitive dirge.
