It's simple.
If law enforcement is anonymous, then anyone anonymous is law enforcement.
I've had security discussions with people who should know better about similar stuff. When someone calls me, I have no idea if it's you. Caller ID is insanely easy to spoof. I've had banks call me and demand I identify myself to them; how about you prove to me that you are who you say you are before I start handing out my personal information?
Interestingly, they don't seem to get it. They just go "I'm from xyz bank" yeah.... You say that... How do I know you're not lying? "I'm not lying, I'm calling from xyz bank"
Dur. We go around a few times with this before they give up.
I usually call my bank using the number on the back of my card, then ask that person if I was called and why.
Now you want me to take it.... On faith, and the word of the person who is concealing their identity, that they are who they say they are?
This is the entire fucking reason that LEOs carry badges. It's so that the public can verify that they're talking to someone who actually is who they say they are.
Anything less is just asking for people to impersonate a LEO or ICE agent in this case.
That's piss poor performance from the bank. They obviously need a security audit.
My bank will sometimes call me if they want something, but it's always just a voice message telling me to call the number on my card. They don't even provide the number on the phone message, just to get the idea into people's heads that they don't provide phone numbers on the message so if a number starts being provided on the call, it's immediately suspicious.
I told them as much. I spoke to a manager about it once on a call and I'm like, how the hell do I know you're actually the bank? You've given me nothing. Then you're asking for my uniquely identifying personal information via a voice prompt. Literally anyone could spoof all of this and you're training your clients to just hand over the information when asked, not even by a person, but by a robocall.
Yeah, I got another a few months later, same shit.
I feel bad for the customers of that bank. They're not my primary bank so I couldn't give a shit. I'm also security focused enough to know better.

The left is fully aware that the only real foreign attacks on the US are social media destabilization campaigns. We need the right on our side to unmask ICE, and this could be our angle.

They have no interest in understanding even the most basic of social relations that they themselves exist within let alone helping the evil left take down their own idealogical para military force. We are kinda veering into re education camp and gulag territory now, at least for many of the most propagandized people. These people are rabid thanks to the media pumped 247 into their homes, cars, phones. They want someone to pay for their suffering as long is its not anyone they know. Until their white neighbors start getting plucked by ICE....i dunno americans and people in general just avoid ontological shock at all costs and the intelligence operatives, and corporate consumerism really fucked american consciousness over the last few decades.
That being said, i do agree with your assessment on foreign bots. Most of the real ridiculous and divisive political content i come across is simply bots. And lots of inane one liners from rando nothing accounts.
It seems some of my more maga neighbors have piped down recently tho. I still think their loyalists, sunk cost fallacy, and they def still have fox news on 247...i guess they just really like election season 😭 they have moved on to "god will protect us" yap, possibly guilty conscience but they have a massive distrust of "the left"...although they seem to like me personally which just highlights the tragedy really.

Foreign terrorists don't have to do anything, not even on social media.
If this happens it will be blamed on the left/antifa allowing it to happen or helping in some way.
If "ice agents" shot up a peaceful demonstration, them it could trigger a civil war. They'd still have their maga apologists however.

You seem to be missing one major piece of information: They don't care.
The more conservative someone is, the more selfish they are and less empathy they have. Most MAGAs are so far up their own ass that if you told them this, they'd roll their eyes and laugh at you. Because in their mind, nothing bad can happen to them. And if something like this did happened, they'd instantly start screaming about a false flag and want to arrest all democrats. You can't explain to them that they're wrong, or the potential dangers of their actions, because they 100% will not believe you. They only understand actions or mockery.
TL;DR: You're basically trying to convince Narcissus that he's not that good looking.

Easy Solution:
The new protocol to verify if the agents are legit would be: The ICE agents will all roll up their sleeves to show their white skin. Then shoot the Hispanic/Latino ICE agents because they are obviously Iranian Sleeper Agents. America saved from terrorists once again! 🇺🇸🦅 USA! USA! 👊🇺🇸🔥
