Hot take: I think the show is bad. I'm like halfway through and haven't finished watching it, but it just seems so shitty and cheap. All the Studio Mir stuff looks like absolute shit. I watched the first episodes of Lazarus and Gundam GQuuux and it's literally night and day the difference in quality.
Also yeah the show has so little in common with the games it's really odd. Like the only things they seem to have kept are Dante, Virgil, and Sparda.
I mean the showrunner/writer is kind of a chud himself. Isn't he a trump and Modi supporter? Lol funny that among those there is a chunk that believe the war on terror was bad. Which is funnier because trump is pushing expansionism himself when he ran on anti war isolationism

It has a reputation for playing very poorly, the enemy designs & bosses aren't very interesting, and Dante is very sadboy throughout the game. I'm sure it's not unplayable bad but it seems like the roughest of the series. That being said, I think the DMC reboot got a bad rap (it was a bad direction for the series but the game was solid) so maybe I should play 2 at least to give it a chance.
