What bothers me is that it looks as if Trump could somehow effectively fend off what is being thrown at him.
That's not the case at all.
Anyone who has heard him answer this question or anything even halfway close to it knows that Trump doesn't have the rhetorical talent to refute the accusations against him.
All he does is point the finger at some imaginary other - foreigners, the EU, China, whoever - but that says nothing about the crimes he and his party are quite rightly accused of.
There simply are no obscure agents he could hold liable - these are his crimes and those of his cronies, which is why no one else is responsible but him and his criminal regime.
There can be no "moving on" from this once Trump and Co. are out, and they will be out. There is always a tomorrow, in one form or another. Anyone who volunteers that we let bygones be bygones themselves need to be sidelined and quite possibly investigated alongside the criminal fascists.
Ok, but I claim fiction ... for now.
